Important Changes to SIE, Series 7, & Series 79 Exams

Effective October 27, 2025, FINRA will reduce the number of unscored questions on the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7: General Securities Representative, and Series 79: Investment Banking Representative exams. Moving forward, candidates will now receive 5 unscored questions instead of 10, while the overall exam durations remain unchanged. No changes to the other FINRA exams have been announced at this time.
